Redlake Valley Walk
Visitors to Well House B&B often ask us about nearby walks. Our usual recommendation is the Redlake Valley Walk which takes in Caer Caradoc an iron-age hill fort that is also reputed to have been the site of Caractacus's last stand against the Roman legions. The walk can be done as either a fgure of eight or a circular walk around the Redlake Valley. It's approximately seven Miles starting and ending at Well House. There are two quite steep hills and an optional half mile steep detour across Caer Caradoc and back to get a fabulour view across the Teme Valley to Mid Wales. As it's a figure of eight with each half about three miles in length, you can do it in one or two bites. The route is described below, but click here to see it and then double click on the walking figure logo.
