Redlake Valley Walk (18th March 2011)
" Visitors to Well House B&B often ask us about nearby walks. Our usual recommendation is the Redlake Valley Walk which takes in Caer Caradoc an iron-age hill fort that is also reputed to have been the site of Caractacus's last stand against the Roman legions. The walk can be done as either a fgure of eight or a circular walk around the Redlake Valley. It's approximately seven Miles starting and ending at Well House. There are two quite steep hills and an optional half mile..."

" Pictured here are Ross and Adam from Dorchester who stayed at Well House B&B five days into their 17 mile epic cycle ride from Lands End to John O'Groats. By the time they finish, with only one rest day in the middle, they hope to have raised £1,000 in aid of The Weldmar Hospice in Dorcester. Donations, please, to http://www.weld-hospice.org.uk/support-weldmar/latest-news-and-pictures/?page=3..."

Presteigne Ligne Twinning Association (1st July 2010)
" To conclude a walk around the Redlake Valley, members of the Presteigne Ligné Twinning Association descended on Well House gardens for lunch. The picnic provided by the Presteigne contingent was truly splendid and we armed ourselves with some essential French vocabuary such as planche à repasser (ironing board) and ragondin (coypu) in preparation for our next trip across the channel. ..."

What no Brown Sauce!? (25th March 2010)
" We're delighted to announce that we have been awarded four stars by our accrediting body, Visit Wales. Soon we will proudly display our stars on this website. It was a close run thing though as we'd forgotten to check on our stock levels of Brown Sauce, and guess what the accreditor wanted with his full English breakfast?..."
Pair of Red Kites seen above Well House, Shropshire (20th March 2010)
" Great excitement this afternoon - although we'd seen a single Red Kite last Wednesday at Bucknell by the River Teme, today we saw a pair flying slowly overhead towards Bryneddin Wood. Maybe they've chosen the wood as a nesting site. Watch this space for more news. And today (23rd March), there's one beating up and down the main street in Chapel Lawn and over the churchyard. It certainly seems as though they've taken up residence nearby...."
Accommodation for Groups (10th February 2010)
" From May this year we will be able to accommodate groups of up to ten people. This is because our neighbour has almost finished converting the stone barn that adjoins our garden and it will soon be operating as a very nice holiday let. The cottage can sleep four while our house can take up to six, but we can do breakfasts for everyone and the house can be used as a base for the week. This might suit large families, or groups that want to lock themselves away for a week in the countryside..."

Another Lands End to John O'groats cyclist (1st August 2009)
" Tom Pateman is the second person to stay with us this week near Clun while riding from Lands End to John O'Groats. Tom, a teacher from Norwich, is making the three-week trip on his own to raise money for Oxfam. Although staying at YHAs whenever possible, he happened upon Well House B&B more or less by chance, but was very appreciative of a large double-bed to himself and the luxury of a long, hot bath. The CTC route is a little east of The Redlake Valley, but Tom made a detour to make..."
